LONDON
Indian / Mela Restaurant / 152 Shaftesbury Ave / Tel 020 7836 8635 / May 2009 / In middle of the West End, great food, moderately priced, adequate decor. Would definitely return. Normally not a big samosa fan, but they served 2 of them as an appetizer with a trio of very flavorable sauces. Best I've had.
LOS ANGELES
Italian / Bottega Louie / 700 South Grand Ave / Tel +01 213-802-1470 / September 2009 / In the middle of downtown L.A. in an old bank, this all white marble restaurant/gourmet take out is a fun and happening place.
FLORENCE
Italian / 4 Leoni / via de'Vellutini, 1r / Tel 055 218562 / February 2007 / On a quiet piazza in Oltrarno. It's very popular and fairly Hollywood, but very nice.
PARIS
Jams & mustards / l'Epicerie / ile st-louis / September 2008 / A fabulous little store on the busy main street here. Try the mures sauvage jam (wild blackberry) Can't believe they sell online!
